Exciting package!

The wedding invitations are out, the shower invitations are out, and we have passed the two month mark. What does that mean?

We received our first wedding present in the mail!

I'm not sure why this is so exciting, but there is something extremely fun about getting packages in the mail. Calvin's aunt sent us our very first thing off of our registry:

A sweet down comforter. Which is especially appropriate because it is still cool here in Michigan.

Necessary Definitions

Bridezilla: A bride, typically with large amounts of wedding porn, devoted to planning "her day." Must have significant amounts of arrogance and attitude. Disrespects those around her. Makes others' lives a living hell. Will spend inordinate amounts of time contemplating variations of chair diapers.
Chair Diapers: Covers, typically white, used to mask the perceived ugliness of standard chairs in reception facility. Coined by bride's mom.
Wedding Porn: Magazines, books and websites devoted to planning weddings. Typically have elaborate photo galleries. Promotes sense of entitlement and creates need for previously unknown commodities such as chair diapers and Monique Lhuillier. Often promoted by the WIC. See theknot.com, brides.com.
WIC: Wedding Industrial Complex. Businesses, such as florists, dress designers and banquet halls involved in various aspects of weddings. Often will charge more because it is for wedding. Justification is bridezilla.
